Next steps: after applying for an eTA

If you need to apply for another eTA
Use the form again to request a family member or other person.
You will soon receive an email from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
Be sure to check the spam folder of the email address you provided on your eTA application form. Some spam filters can block automated emails from IRCC.
Check your passport number
Please verify that the passport number included in the eTA approval email exactly matches the number in your passport. If it is not the same, you must apply again.
If we need more information to make a decision
You can receive an email within 72 hours with instructions for the next steps .
